Eyebrows - Another essential skill is eyebrow artistry. I need to learn how to mark, powder, tint, wax and shape the eyebrows. We learned all the current eyebrows trends as well as all available options we have for eyebrow maintenance, but we were assigned to only learn to wax, thread, tint, shave, tweeze and powder the eyebrows for our clients to prepare them for every assignment that we were cross assessed on like the male grooming, essential makeup, 1 to 1 lessons and and to practice on our classmates if they wish to get tinted. We had 4 clients to do, so I done my own partner, my mother and 2 of my classmates.
Fashion - Avant Garde, Runway & Editorial
In order to gain HNC Fashion Makeup certificate I need to understand Fashion, there were 3 types we studied on and attempted.

Historical
We had to study different eras of makeup as well as victorian and egyptian styles to understand where current makeup trends came from and know how to achieve it for when we do historical filming.
There was also a brief to create an old decade into an avant garde look that overexagerrates the era.
Male Grooming: it's important to know how to cater to a wider audience. Men's skincare, grooming and styling are often overlooked, we have to teach our male models how to do their skincare and basic colour correction, I also taught him how to style his hair and beard. Below is a video demonstration we have to make for our course to showcase our knowledge of products and understanding difference in male and female's skin.
