There are many skillsets we are taught in college in HNC Fashion these skills are
-Promotional and social media
-General health and safety including client consultation
-Eyebrow artistry
-Skin colour theory
-Skin types
-Trends and historical looks
-Skin prep
But it's best to see those skills be used in photography and editing, there are other skills we need to understand like basic photography to ensure we are aware of how it'll look on photographs and special wordings that a team uses
Fashion - Avant Garde, Runway & Editorial
In order to gain HNC Fashion Makeup certificate I need to understand Fashion, there were 3 types we studied on and attempted.

Historical
We had to study different eras of makeup as well as victorian and egyptian styles to understand where current makeup trends came from and know how to achieve it for when we do historical filming.
There was also a brief to create an old decade into an avant garde look that overexagerrates the era.
Male Grooming: it's important to know how to cater to a wider audience. Men's skincare, grooming and styling are often overlooked, we have to teach our male models how to do their skincare and basic colour correction, I also taught him how to style his hair and beard. Below is a video demonstration we have to make for our course to showcase our knowledge of products and understanding difference in male and female's skin.
